Three—  Guided tours of the U.S. Capitol building will resume Monday for the first time in two years after the pandemic forced the closure of the building to public tours.  School groups and groups of up to 15 people will be among the first visitors allowed to tour the building.

Two— An undercover FBI agent will testify for federal prosecutors today when the trial resumes of four men accused of planning to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Known as “Red,” he joined the group for a trip in 2020  to get a look at Whitmer’s vacation home and a bridge they wanted to blow up. Defense attorneys have argued there was no plan to kidnap the governor.

 

And number one— President Biden is clarifying a remark he made over the weekend.  During an address in Poland while referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Biden said “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.”  Pressed about the comment Sunday, Biden insisted that was not a call for regime change.
