—Here are 3 big things you need to know—
Three— More than one-and-a-half-million birds across Iowa are being put down. The highly contagious bird flu has been found in flocks of chickens and turkeys. At least eight million birds have already been destroyed in the past month because of the flu outbreak.
Two— Two defense witnesses in the federal trial of four men accused of planning to kidnap and kill Governor Whitmer will not testify. Both men were to be witnesses for suspect Daniel Harris and have invoked the Fifth Amendment as they were worried they could be charged based on their testimony.
And number one— More than ten-million people in Ukraine are no longer in their home. That includes half of the country’s children. The U.N. says four-million have fled to neighboring countries since Russia invaded, the rest are displaced inside Ukraine. But more may get the chance to escape today
