—Here are 3 big things you need to know—

 

Three—  “CODA” is taking home best picture at the Oscars.  The movie about a culturally deaf family made history this award season with deaf actor Troy Kotsur becoming the first deaf actor to win an Oscar for acting.  “CODA” won every category it was nominated for, best supporting actor, best picture, and best adapted screen play.

Two— The University of Michigan’s Board of Regents is unanimously approving a 41-million-dollar project to replace the scoreboards and more at Michigan Stadium. The new scoreboards will cost 12-million-dollars and an additional 12-million-dollars will be spent on infrastructure, design and site work. Work should be complete for the 2023 season.

 

And number one— Leaders from Russia and Ukraine will sit down in Turkey for more peace talks this week.  A Chief Ukrainian negotiator took to Facebook Sunday to say the talks would take place Monday through Wednesday.  It’s been more than a month since Russian forces invaded Ukraine.
