Three—  An Alaska congressman is being honored today at the nation’s Capitol.  Don Young died earlier this month at the age of 88.  He was the longest serving House Republican in history.  His body will lie in state today with a ceremony and then a viewing for members of Congress.

Two— The 2024 NFL Draft will be in Detroit. No date has been set yet. Detroit Lions president Rod Wood says hundreds of thousands of people will come to the city for the draft, and the event will be an economic boost.

 

And number one— Another effort to end the war in Ukraine is underway.  Peace talks are going on in Turkey where the president there said it’s about time for “concrete results.”  This is the first sit down meeting with negotiators from Russia and Ukraine in almost three weeks.
