—Here are 3 big things you need to know—
Three— A Chinese tennis star is denying ever accusing anyone of sexual assault. This comes a month after she made the claim against a top Chinese leader on social media. Peng Shuai told a local newspaper saying there have been a lot of misunderstandings about what she wrote. And, since it’s China, a lot of threats and retaliation for what she wrote.
Two— The University of Michigan and Michigan State University are both requiring COVID-19 vaccination booster shots for students, faculty, and staff. Both schools have a February 4 deadline for the shots.

And number one—President Biden is set to update the nation on the Omicron variant Tuesday according to a White House official. The announcement comes as the nation braces itself for higher case numbers, hospitalizations and deaths heading into the holidays.
