Two— The power is back for most of the over 700-thousand customers of DTE Energy and Consumers Energy in the past week.  DTE says of the 77-thousand still without power Sunday morning, 95-percent have been restored.  A spokesman for Consumers says nearly all their customers will have the lights back on by the end of Sunday.

And number one— The situation in Afghanistan is growing more tense by the minute.  The Taliban has taken control of the country, seizing the capital city of Kabul yesterday.  This forced the U.S. embassy to move to a military-controlled section of the airport.  That’s where thousands of Afghans have crowded the tarmac in hope of escaping the country.  At least five people were reportedly killed there today in the chaos of people trying to force their way onto planes.
