Fresh off her well-deserved retirement from the White House’s least-used office during the Biden-Harris administration, former VP/losing Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris reappeared recently with a speech criticizing – you guessed it – President Donald Trump. Why? Because apparently she though America was missing her finger-wagging at Orange Man Bad.

Speaking at the 20th anniversary gala for Emerge America (a group that helps train Democratic women to lose elections), Kamala declared that Trump is ushering in a “constitutional crisis.” Strong words from someone whose own constitutional contributions were limited to occasionally nodding while the incapacitated Biden read (badly) from a teleprompter.

Kamala painted Trump’s administration as one that sows fear and abandons America’s highest ideals, which is rich coming from a VP who oversaw historic inflation, exploding crime, and a border policy that let millions of foreigners invade our country.

Just days after Trump celebrated his 100th day back in office and his many accomplishments, Kamala decided it was her moment to sound the alarm. And this happened shortly after we learned that her VP candidate Tim Walz was only chosen because he was a white dude. Nothing says “progress” like picking your running mate from the clearance rack of political correctness.

Kamala declared in her speech, “We are witnessing the wholesale abandonment of ideals.” No kidding, Kamala. You were front and center for four years of it. We all witnessed the slow-motion train wreck of American ideals on your watch but thanks for the reminder. You just gave the wrong dates about when it happened.

So why is Kamala resurfacing now? Maybe it’s to remind donors she still exists in a run- up to throwing her hat in the ring to be a California gubernatorial candidate (or president again). Or maybe she’s auditioning for a spot on the View or CNN.

Or maybe it’s just habit – like a political groundhog popping up, seeing Trump’s shadow, and warning everyone about six more weeks of Trump destroying democracy.

Either way, it’s clear: Trump’s winning – and Kamala is whining about it like the rest of her party.
