This is what the media and politicians fear.

When we are united, we can’t be broken. They don’t want us a whole piece they want us broken and hating each other.

Good always finds a way. Despite all our differences when it matters the most people come together. I was part of a similar situation before. When I was in the military, I was at a bar and a cab accidentally ran a man over in a minivan on a hill. No one gave directions, just a bunch of (inebriated) by-standards rushed to the vehicle and lifted (on the downhill side) the van up.

A group of bystanders banded together to lift an SUV off a woman pinned by the vehicle after she was struck crossing a Lower East Side street — a jubilant moment caught on video Sunday afternoon.

“She’s out!” a man can be heard yelling as the dramatic scene unfolded about 5:10 p.m. on the corner of Delancey and Norfolk Sts. The 25-year-old woman miraculously escaped serious injury.

The woman was crossing Delancey in the crosswalk, police said, when a 65-year-old woman made a right turn from Norfolk St. and hit her, then struck a car stopped at a traffic light, causing a chain reaction of minor fender-benders. [NY Daily News]

For the situation, this is a great story. Most people (like me) would assume the bystanders stood there, recording for Instagram. Thank you to everyone involved, for making my opinion wrong. It is uplifting when good people act.

Contrary to popular belief, most people want to help. It is part of our human nature. The problem is the “bystander effect.”

In an accident, most people are stunned and do not know what to do. All you need is just one person who isn’t stunned to act and people will naturally follow. The trick is having that one person who is not stunned.

What I liked most about this video is it shows that It didn’t matter what party they belonged to, what color their skin was, what religion they believed they all banded together to help this woman!
