TWO— As suspected it was one of Joe Biden’s inner circle that leaked the potential retirement of Supreme Court Justice—Stephen Breyer—ahead of any official announcement—

 

THREE— The biggest story that nobody heard anything about—happened about a week ago now—the balance of power in the U-S Senate—was disrupted when a Democrat Senator was hit with a debilitating stroke— and nobody has said a word!

New Mexico Democrat Ben Ray Lujan—a 49 year old Freshmen US Senator—was hit by the stroke on the same day Joe Biden appeared with Justice Stephen Breyer to officially announce Breyer would be leaving the court at the end of the current session—

 

The significance of the stroke cannot be overstated in a Senate that is divided evenly with 50 Senators for both Republicans and Democrats—if Lujan was not hospitalized—Vice President Kamala Harris could break a 50-50 tie—although there is some debate over whether she can do that for a nomination—instead of breaking a tie for passing legislation—

 

But either way—Lujan who remains hospitalized and unable to join his colleagues in Washington—leaves the Democrats with only 49 members able to vote—

 

Seems absolutely remarkable—that I only learned of this during the program here yesterday—

 

Lujan—whom we are told is expected to make a full recovery—and we hope he does—could be sidelined for quite some time—I mean recovering from a stroke is no easy task—even if the stroke is considered to be mild—

 

According his Chief of Staff – Lujan “as part of his treatment plan—underwent decompressive surgery to ease swelling” on his brain— And is resting comfortably—this is not a simple thing—this is a very serious matter—

 

It could certainly be weeks—or even months before Lujan could return to the Senate and be able to cast a vote for a nominee to the nations high court—

 

This could imperile—other nominees for federal judge put up by the Biden Administration—

 

It also means—any hope of build back better—or any other initiative put forth by the Biden Administration is lying in the hospital bed with Lujan in Sante Fe—

 

By the way—just so you understand—decompressive surgery involves removing a piece of the patients skull—to relieve pressure on the brain—and it is common for damaged brain tissue to be removed during such a procedure as well—according to experts watching this developing story—

 

How on Gods green earth—did we not hear about this—until almost a week later—I mean—any nominee to the Supreme Court—my not have the votes with a Democrat Senator—recovering from a stroke—

 

The left won’t even be able to blame Mitch McConnell for stopping the nomination—but rather an act of God—you can make of that—whatever you will—
