Since the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis back in May, Seattle has become ground zero for uncivil protests and riots.

In recent weeks, protestors seized nine blocks surrounding the Seattle Police Department’s East Precinct, forced the city council to harshly hack the police budget, and bullied Seattle police Chief Chief Carmen Best into resigning. Angered by Democrat Mayor Jenny Durkan vetoing the vote and the recent shooting of Jacob Blake that went viral, rioters sought to not only barricade Seattle officers inside their department Tuesday night but to burn them alive.

Using darkness as cover, rioters emerged on the East Precinct with buckets of Quikrete —a quick-drying cement— and applied it around the doors and exits. At the same time, different rioters started fires around the building despite full knowledge that law enforcement officers were barricaded inside.

Among the reporters covering the riotous debacle was Jason Rantz of KTTH Radio, who tweeted a video of the rioters attacking the building and labeled the rioters as “terrorists.”

Luckily, no police officers were harmed during the riot. The reasoning for the rioting arsonists’ failure was partly due to the police preempting matters and mostly due to the malcontents’ seeming inability to follow proper instructions printed on the bags of concrete. Jason Rantz stated:

“A source tells me the officers inside had to kick the door open to exit the building and disperse the rioters. Luckily, already lacking discernible skills, the rioters did not follow directions and may have used too much water in the cement mixture.”

Before abandoning their efforts, rioters sprayed graffiti over the precinct. According to police, rioters threw incendiary devices into the windows. Reports also came in of rioters attacking the West Precinct as they made their way back to the Bobby Morris sports field.

In recent weeks, Seattle locals recalled seeing rioters in the park “training” and handing out wooden shields similar to those used in many of the protests we’ve witnessed throughout America.
