Ya gotta hand it to Rep. Gohmert because while he expertly trolled the entire Dem party, he also made a great and very spot-on point.
The Dems are the party of slavery and the confederacy. That’s not hyperbole, that’s just facts.

All of this arguing over the past history is really all the Dems fault.
So, after sitting there for weeks listening to Dems put forth all of these resolutions to ban this statue and ban that statue, Rep. Gohmert decided to put forth a resolution to ban the entire Democrat Party for their historic support of slavery.
