The Fulton County DA who just charged officer Garrett Rolfe with 11 charges, including felony murder for shooting and killing Rayshard Brooks after he stole his taser and tried to shoot him with it, is coming under tremendous fire for his decision to file charges.

If convicted, officer Rolfe could be sentenced to either life in prison without parole or the death penalty.

D.A. Paul Howard is facing a tough upcoming election and many people believe this was a political move – especially after this video from 2 weeks ago has resurfaced.
In the video, Howard is discussing charges he filed against police officers who used tasers on protesters, claiming that a “taser” is a “deadly weapon” under Georgia Law.

If that’s the case, then why would he file charges against the police officer who shot and killed Mr. Brooks, since Mr. Brooks stole the “deadly weapon” from the officer and then tried to shoot him with it?
