A Black Lives Matter activist was found dead after being reported missing several days ago.

The young woman was only 19-years-old, but was very active in the BLM movement and had been protesting the death of George Floyd in her home state of Florida.

She made friends with a 75-year-old BLM and Democrat activist, who was also found dead. The two women were chumming around together and somehow or another ran into Mr. Aaron Glee, Jr., – the man who has been arrested for the killings.

It appears the 19-year-old woman may have been raped earlier as well, according to a Twitter post she made.

In the hours before she went missing, she tweeted she had just been sexually assaulted by a man who offered to give her a ride No one is sure yet if the man who is accused of killing her and this man are the same people.

A 19-year-old woman who was protesting racial injustice in Tallahassee has been found dead days after being reported missing.

The bodies of Oluwatoyin Salau, 19, and one of her new acquaintances, Victoria Sims, 75, were found Saturday night on a property about 10 minutes east of Florida’s Capitol, Tallahassee police said Monday.

Police said a suspect, 49-year-old Aaron Glee, Jr., was in custody. It wasn’t clear Monday whether Salau’s death was related to her activism. Earlier this month, Salau tweeted she’d been molested by a man who had offered to help her. Also, according to the Tallahassee Democrat, Salua and Sims had met after recent protests over justice for black lives.

Sims was a longtime volunteer for AARP in Tallahassee and a former employee of the Florida Department of Elder Affairs, according to the association.

Their bodies were found either on or near Glee’s southeast Tallahassee home. Records show Glee was arrested late last month on an unrelated charge of assaulting another woman.

Salau’s disappearance earlier this month after protesting a recent police shooting in Florida’s capital made headlines, and news of her death prompted an outpouring of grief on social media.

This tragedy comes in the wake of a nation-wide debate over the BLM movement. Many critics say BLM is an “anti-cop” movement disguised as a group caring for “all black lives. These critics argue that BLM doesn’t focus on the real victims of violence in the black community which statistics show comes from “black on black” crime.
