Let’s be clear. The so-called apology from Governor Andrew Cuomo is hollow.

Cuomo meant precisely what he said. His mistake was ignoring the fact the police chief reports and took orders from the Mayor, you know, Bill de Blasio. The police are doing exactly what de Blasio has told them to do.

Here is Cuomo trying to fix his Tuesday statement:

All these other liberal Democrat politicians are making it harder for the police to their jobs, with all the new laws that help criminals (ex no bail) and their prosecutions against police. Once the police stop policing, the rest of us are defenseless and at the mercy of the criminals.

[USA Today] NYPD Chief Terence Monahan told NBC’s “Today” show Wednesday that Cuomo’s office called him, and the governor called commissioner Dermot Shea to apologize and clarify his remarks.

“Last night, his office called and apologized to me, and I know he called the commissioner directly to apologize,” Monahan said.

“That’s not what he meant — he did not mean to put down the police officers.”

Cuomo tore into the NYPD and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio during his daily briefing Tuesday, urging the police to “do your job” after widespread looting and violence Monday night across the city.

“The police must stop the looting and the criminal activity. That is the essence of the police force. They are supposed to protect the community, protect the property,” Cuomo said Tuesday, saying he was “disappointed and outraged.”

The comments drew a sharp rebuke from NYPD leaders and its union, as well as de Blasio, who Cuomo has often sparred with.

Have you ever noticed that Cuomo LOVES to blame everyone but himself? He, in his governor seat, could have shut down mass transit much earlier to prevent the virus from spreading but didn’t.

He could have housed elderly patients in the US navy hospital ship instead of the Javits Convention Center but didn’t. And he could have made life a living hell for de Blasio or called up the national guard, but didn’t. This is what you get when you have a liberal governor of a state being destroyed by liberals.

If this was meant to be a real apology, I could assure you it wasn’t. I listened to him rip these police officers. The world watched NYC, Soho, and Manhattan get destroyed as it happened. The cops were outnumbered. If they had the National Guard at their backs, much of could have been avoided.

Both of these guys, Cuomo and de Blasio should be sent packing. They are a complete failure. What good does it do to arrest the protesters, don’t give them bail and release them within three hours?
