I support Pres. Trump. I voted for him, and in a few months, I plan on voting for him again, but this risky move of taking a drug that hadn’t been properly tested for a positive review by the FDA could produce fatal results, is nothing to play with.

We do know from tests that have been done for individuals with COVID-19; serious side effects have been reported with hydroxychloroquine, including the following: Heart failure.

According to WebMD, Laboratory tests of the drug against COVID-19 yielded promising results, but mounting evidence from clinical and observational studies suggest that it doesn’t provide any meaningful benefits for COVID-19 patients.

Pres. Trump said he has taken hydroxychloroquine for the last week and a half and “feels fine” during a press interview on Monday. When press to what led him to take the drug, the unproven drug which the FDA has warned against, Trump said, “Here’s my evidence: I get a lot of positive calls about it.”

“I’ve taken it for one-and-a-half weeks now,” Trump said. “And I’m still here. I’m still here.”

Pres. Trump has said he didn’t have COVID-19 and wasn’t sick. He hasn’t been showing any signs or wearing any masks, so why take it if you aren’t ill. We don’t need side effects to take down Pres. Trump. Someone should have told him not to use his body as a lab rat. I am not happy about it.

The first time Trump mentioned the drug was on April 5 and asked, “What do you have to lose? What do I know? I’m not a doctor. I’m not a doctor. But I have common sense.”

So-called whistleblower Dr. Rick Bright, who filed an official complaint and testified last Thursday, claimed he was allegedly fired from his job for questioning hydroxychloroquine. On Monday, Trump also claimed that Bright was the one who approved hydroxychloroquine.

Last week, two separate studies from France and China, found “no benefit” of the drug, including the latter evaluating more adverse reactions than positive.
