A study done by Drexel University shows an estimated 6,202 lives were saved in the city Philadelphia, and more than 57,000 avoided hospitalization.

The same study claims that a remarkable 23,000 fewer deaths in Baltimore were a result of the timely move to lockdown Americans to stop the spread of COVID-19. The study was conducted specifically to 30 cities in the United States.

Amy Carroll-Scott, Ph.D., professor and study’s author, told ABC-6 in Philadelphia, “All of the many sacrifices they’re making by staying home are not in vain, that it has this impact that affects all of us.”

She also added; “It’s important for policymakers to see that these stay-at-home orders and social distancing measures are really important, and that if we lift them too soon, we’re likely to see another spike, and that we need to be monitoring those new cases, and hospitalizations and lives saved as we inch closer to re-opening.”

The report went on to add how New York City was saved roughly 25,000 deaths while Dallas was spared an estimated 10,000 deaths due to the action they took to protect their citizens.

I gave this information to a friend of mine, and they said, “I’m going to believe a university study on a political matter? Not happening. I don’t believe anything is coming out of universities now, especially not polls or studies of things “political” — and this virus is nothing if not political. All of the foregoing notwithstanding, the “shutdown” was and is unconstitutional without a legal basis. It’s a blatant affront to the first amendment, which I don’t need to explain to anyone capable of reading English and going to that document. There’s no ambiguity.”

That’s about how the country is moving right now. Half believe while the other have doesn’t. Some feel the virus was a fake and an attempt to take away our liberties, while others think it was real as they lost loved ones.
