Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey has always seemed like a realist to me than anything another thing.
He doesn’t toe the line of Republican or Democrat but he speaks to each as if we were one and he wants to find solutions that will help us best, which I find more fitting with most Americans than left or right. Now I may not agree with him on everything but I don’t agree with a lot about everything. One thing I know for sure, he isn’t out spewing hatred and just instantly bashing the President.

McConaughey and his wife have donated 200,000 masks to frontline workers, so what do you think about his call to action and standing behind what he believes. The virus is NOT “fake” and it DOES kill people, especially those with underlying conditions that place them at greater risk. So if you or someone you care about or come into contact with is at risk, then take precautions.
And by the way, don’t ridicule people for taking precautions, you don’t know their personal situation.
“About a month ago, I could feel that this united purpose that we all have as Americans to beat this enemy and this virus, that purpose got hijacked a bit by partisan politics. Then all of a sudden the narrative became, if you want to go to work, you’re on the far right. If you don’t want to go to work and you want to stay home, you’re on the far left. Now even the mask wearing is getting politicized. If you want to wear a mask, you wear a mask, you’re liberal, and if you don’t you’re a conservative. And that’s just not true. This created a false divide.”
McConaughey was asked if he thinks the federal government is “doing all it can” to help those in need.
“Well, I don’t know if the federal government is doing all they can. I know they’re doing a lot… What can each of us do independently, individually, in our families, our households, communities, neighborhoods, and cities? Act locally. Even this message. This is to the United States of America saying, ‘Hey, we’re in this together,'” McConaughey said.

“If you’re going to reengage right now, please wear a mask. I haven’t heard any science that says that it is not a good idea. And I hope we wear masks as a badge of honor and not something that we feel like somebody told us we had to wear, that takes away our identity. I think wearing a mask is not propaganda. I don’t think it’s partisanship or politics. I think a mask is all about our purpose right now, getting us, as in the USA, to best beat this virus. It’s how we can take care of ourselves and others in the crisis,” McConaughey added.
I think he summed it up very well. The problem is once again we don’t know the truth. If it were as bad as first advertised we’d all have it by now. You can’t go anywhere and not touch things or avoid people by six feet. Gloves don’t help much because you can spread the virus to everything you touch unless you change them after each item you touch.
CNN is now promoting Greta Thunberg as an expert panelist for its next “Coronavirus: Facts and Fears” town hall. I don’t give a crap about Greta Thunberg’s opinion.

I also don’t want to hear why Sean Penn thinks we should call out the National Guard to enforce quarantines. Nor do I care about the opinions of Taylor Swift, or Kim Kardashian, or any other celebrity, BUT, McConaughey has my ear because he’s different.

This was an excellent interview. So what is the problem? The Lamestream Media don’t start with actual news that is new, newsworthy, relevant, objective, and presented in the context of history and related events. They start with political agenda, then politically-induced narrative (a storyboard), they convey a story subject to the above criteria that is a caricature or outright brazen fraud. What does that result in? 71% of conservatives say it’s time for the country to return to work, compared to just 30% of moderates. Only 14% of liberals say it’s time to get back to work – 69% say it is not time (17% unsure). More men (51%) than women (37%) think America is ready to get back on the job.
And therein lies the tragedy of all this mess. Every person has the ability to access accurate and objective information in the context of historical viral epidemics and therapeutic treatments. This is why some conservatives believe there is a political motive underlying the destruction of what was the strongest economy since the Great Depression, just a few months ago.
