Belly Mujinga, 47, died from the virus 14 days after being coughed at and past on according to the BBC.
British Transport Police are investigating the case and trying their best to trace the suspect. He also coughed and spat on another railway ticket office worker telling them he had the coronavirus. Both workers became ill and one of them, while Belly died from complications.
Lusamba Gode Katalay, Bella’s husband, said she had been working on the concourse of Victoria Station in central London when the suspect attacked her.
Bella was hospitalized on April 2 and died three days later without seeing her husband and 11-year-old daughter again. As with most COVID-19 deaths, there were underlying conditions. Mujinga had underlying respiratory problems, and according to her work union, they claim she should have been provided with protective equipment.
According to the AP, Prime Minister Boris Johnson described the attack as “despicable.”

In addition to this tragedy, Bella’s relatives are allegedly blaming her employer, Govia Thameslink Railway. As the report goes, they were aware of her respiratory issues but still sent her out on the concourse anyway.
Angie Doll, the managing director of GTR subsidiary Southern Railway and Gatwick Express, said it takes “any allegations extremely seriously, and we are investigating these claims,” in a statement to BBC News.
It seems to me that the coronavirus is the key to making underlying conditions worst, and to some, they wind up dead. A lot of the elderly who have died from coronavirus had underlying conditions. It’s almost like these people are on the edge of the cliff, and the virus is the thing that pushes them over.
