A business owner in Maine has defied the governor’s lockdown order and opened his restaurant early, under threat of arrest.
And the good people of Maine responded by lining up in droves for a chance to get inside and eat and drink.
The business owner’s name is Rick Savage, and he owns the “Sunday River Brewing Co.”
He was ready to open May 1st, and then his governor changed gears and extended her lockdown.
But he said he couldn’t wait any longer so he opened up.

The lines to get into his restaurant were massive. A strong show of support for a man who is risking it all to save his business and his livelihood.
The line outside Sunday River Brewing Co. has doubled in the last hour. Folks in line tell me this is much more than a lunch rush, it’s a protest. Restaurant owner Rick Savage tells me he’s not worried about being arrested. @newscentermaine pic.twitter.com/xkQgphVr2v
