As America heads into its 2nd month of lockdowns the American people are starting to feel the burn of quarantine in more ways than one.
The economic squeeze is starting to hit a lot of business owners who are reopening their stores and shops regardless of lockdown orders.
Also, the shelves at the grocery stores are getting barer by the week…But the bad news is – the worse may be yet to come.

Tyson Foods CEO is warning Americans that the food supply chain is breaking. That means the shelves will be more empty and a meat shortage is coming.
The chairman of Tyson Foods has issued a stark warning to Americans following the shuttering of multiple meat processing plants across the country: “The food supply chain is breaking.”
In an open letter published as a full-page ad in Sunday’s New York Times, Washington Post and Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, John H. Tyson outlined Tyson Foods’ response to the ongoing coronavirus health crisis, but hinted that further closures — not only of Tyson Foods facilities, but competitors’ facilities as well — would put stress on the nation’s food supply.
In recent weeks, Tyson Foods has been forced to temporarily pause operations at a number of plants following outbreaks of COVID-19, or because of staffing shortages caused by the pandemic.
“In addition to meat shortages, this is a serious food waste issue,” Tyson claimed. “Farmers across the nation simply will not have anywhere to sell their livestock to be processed, when they could have fed the nation. Millions of animals – chickens, pigs and cattle – will be depopulated because of the closure of our processing facilities. The food supply chain is breaking.” [Fox News]
I live in a small town, but I drive to a medium-size town to do my shopping. And when I was there last week, I could see that the meat and other dry goods even were dwindling. It’s depressing. It feels like we’re all living the “Bernie Sanders dream” of socialist America.
I hope we can figure out a way to get this country opened back up so we don’t slip further into depression and despair.
