Bill Maher doesn’t look so cocky, tough, and snarky when the lights, camera, and Hollywood audience isn’t at his side, cheering and coaxing him on.
Maher literally looks like a wimpy shell of his former “bigger than life” self, now that his HBO team isn’t working overtime to make him appear like the snarky God of late-night TV.

Just watch this video of Maher debating Dan Crenshaw.
Poor Bill looks more like Joe Biden, stammering and stuttering. He looks weak and unable to get his point across.
Gone is the bravado, replaced with a whimpering guy who gets verbally clobbered by articulate, smart, and sharp Crenshaw.

This just goes to show, all the “big name” talkers on TV are basically holograms. They’re not real. They’re created by producers, directors, editors, makeup people, cameramen, coached audiences, and lighting.
