According to reports, up to two million military veterans could miss out on $1,200 stimulus checks since they still have to file with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to get a payment.
Why is that? Many military veterans rely on the Department of Veteran Affairs disability payments, and they don’t usually have to file a tax return. You would have thought all the dots had been connected before putting out the legislation, yes?
As usual, the Internal Revenue Service is showing us that they are ‘dead brains.’

This country owes “us” veterans. This nation is not the “land of the free because of the brave,” without our sacrifice. The extra hoops veterans have to go through to get things is evil. There shouldn’t be any additional steps for veterans to get their $1,200 stimulus checks, so stop the bureaucratic imbecility.
The Communist Democrats within the US House of Representatives are to blame. There is no substitute. Rep. Nancy Pelosi says, “Let them eat cake” as she goes back inside her mansion and into her walk-in freezer to grab some ice cream for her pets. George Orwell’s Animal Farm pigs walked on their hind legs too.
Meanwhile, Democrats are making sure that illegal aliens are handed out taxpayer dollars before our veterans. Democrats have made it a natural choice to vote Republican.
The Treasury Department and the IRS have expanded eligibility for automatic payments of $1,200 stimulus checks in recent weeks. They’ve made it easier for millions of low-income people like those on Supplemental Security Income to get financial relief without needing to file a tax return.
But nearly 2 million veterans could be left out of the $1,200 stimulus checks that the federal government started sending out this week, according to CNBC. They are still required to file some information with the IRS, prompting concerns among advocates that many will be shut out from economic relief — particularly older veterans who lack easy access to a computer or other technology.

For now, VA recipients can use the “Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here” tool to submit basic information and choose their preferred payment method, Business Insider’s Tanza Loudenback reported.
Many veterans rely on federal benefits like disability payments from the VA, and they don’t usually have to file a tax return. The Treasury Department and the IRS did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
On its frequently asked questions page, the IRS said: “The IRS continues to explore ways to see if Payments can be made automatically to those who receive veterans disability compensation, pension, or survivor benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs, but did not file a tax return for the 2018 or 2019 tax year.”
Some lawmakers have already pressed the Treasury and the IRS to make the stimulus payments automatic. [Business Insider]

Most veterans are law-abiding rule followers, who do their paperwork. We understand there is a box for earned income and a table for unearned income, and they know they have to report interest, 401K disbursements, the spouse’s income….; Liberals, on the other hand, they like to decide what laws they will follow, and which ones they want to ignore.
Maybe Dems should have the extra steps?

Queen Pelosi’s fridge is stacked with gourmet ice cream. We know because she felt it was appropriate to show off her kitchen during a time of crisis and scarcity for many Americans. Maybe they can have some ice cream and eat cake too, courtesy of Nancy.
