Gretchen Whitmer is clearly out of her gourd.
She’s extended the stay-home order until May 1st and has tightened up regulations even more by banning residents from traveling to friends and families homes, as well as preventing the purchase of “non-essential” items like garden supplies and children’s car seats.
Well, Michigan residents have had enough and are taking to social media to call for Whitmer’s impeachment for this insane overreach of power.

For everyone defending @GovWhitmer stating she's trying to keep us safe. Explain to me how standing in line at a liquor store for the lotto is Essential? That's what I thought. #ImpeachWhitmer

Whitmer isn’t just facing backlash from Michigan residents, she’s also receiving harsh criticism from other lawmakers in the state:
Michigan Republican leaders and U.S. Rep. Justin Amash (I-Grand Rapids) are criticizing Gov. Gretchen Whitmer for her latest stay at home order. On Thursday, Whitmer extended the shelter-in-place for Michiganders until May 1.
Some of the main sticking points for her critics are not classifying landscaping services as essential and closing garden centers.
Michigan’s Republican Speaker of the House Lee Chatfield has called Whitmer’s latest order the “wrong call” and “bad for Michigan families.” He cited locally-owned businesses that have shuttered due to the order and the thousands of people who have filed for unemployment.
“Instead of essential vs non-essential, we should think safe vs unsafe,” Chatfield tweeted on Friday. He listed lawn care, construction, motorized boating, realtors, and buying seeds and gardening supplies as things that are prohibited under the current order.
“All these are safe. But the Governor says no. We can ensure safety & be reasonable. Let’s do both,” Chatfield said. [WZZM13]
Whitmer has obviously taken things way too far with her latest “stay-home” order in Michigan and she’s bound to feel the consequences.
Let’s hope she gets picked as Biden’s VP, cause she probably won’t get reelected in her current state.
