President Donald J. Trump is considering treating election security like what it is: a national priority serious enough to warrant emergency action.

During an interview on Real America’s Voice, conservative host Wayne Allyn Root raised the possibility that Trump could declare a national security emergency involving the 2026 midterms if the Senate fails to pass the SAVE America Act. Trump left the door open.

“Stranger things have happened,” Trump said.

The SAVE legislation would require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote and identification when casting a ballot. God forbid!! What a racist threat to democracy! (I’m channeling the Dems’ insane argument against it).

Yes, according to the left, secure elections are a wildly controversial concept. But only because they won’t be able to do all of their cheating.

Supporters of secure elections have been pushing Congress for stronger safeguards – and polls show that Americans agree with the concept – but the spineless RINOs won’t act. Therefore, it appears that Trump is willing to consider other options.

And he should, because Americans need elections that are secure, voter rolls that are legitimate and ballots that aren’t diluted by ineligible voters. The people who win elections run the country – and making sure those winners are actually chosen by eligible American voters is about as urgent as it gets.
