Miracles still happen. In a world where almost everything costs more than it did yesterday, 7-Eleven is giving something away for free. On Saturday, July 11, participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes stores will celebrate 7-Eleven Day by handing every customer a free small Slurpee.

No coupon is needed. No additional purchase. Just show up. And yes, the Slurpee you get will be in a pretty small cup but, hey, it’s better than nothing.

This year’s celebration marks the frozen drink’s 60th birthday. The Slurpee first hit stores in 1966 after 7-Eleven licensed the frozen drink concept and gave it the now- famous name, inspired by the sound people make while sucking it through a straw. Free Slurpee Day eventually became an annual tradition tied to the chain’s July 11 birthday.

This year’s featured flavors on their website include the limited-edition Mountain Dew Confetti Chill (described as citrus with sweet vanilla icing) along with perennial favorites Blue Raspberry and Cherry. Some locations may offer additional flavors depending on availability.

So grab your free frozen sugar bomb while you can. In 2026, “free” is becoming an endangered species.
