The narrative is familiar: Democrats repeatedly assure us that “illegal immigrants don’t vote – trust us.” But we keep finding out otherwise. The latest discovery was revealed by the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office who reported that 1,084 non-citizens appear to have registered to vote in Ohio, with 167 of them allegedly casting ballots in federal elections.
So when your local liberal pundit insists “that just doesn’t happen,” you might want to ask: which “doesn’t happen” are we talking about? When it happened in Ohio? Or Michigan? Or Iowa or Florida? Or Alabama?
And once it’s exposed that illegal aliens HAVE actually voted in American elections, the Democrats suddenly shift their narrative to, “Well, it didn’t change the results.”
Sorry, that doesn’t add up. These are the same people who insist voter ID laws “disenfranchise” minorities and that “every vote counts.” But when illegal aliens cast ballots, suddenly those votes don’t count in the tally?
Democrats like to posture that only US-citizens participate meaningfully in the democratic process. But when we discover that illegal aliens are actually voting because of lax voting laws, they say it’s “just a few isolated incidents..move on.”
Maybe it’s time we stop “moving on” and start cleaning up the voter rolls instead and put in place more voting integrity laws. One illegal vote cancels out one legal vote – and that’s one too many.
