Meanwhile, Biden had actual health issues and wasn’t even the sitting president – but the media yawned. Yet, over Labor Day holiday weekend, the Democrats worked overtime on social media spinning wild tales that Trump was sick – or worse, already dead.

If you believed the Left’s Labor Day weekend rumor mill, Donald Trump had kicked the bucket somewhere between a golf swing and a Diet Coke. Sorry to disappoint the Dems, but the president was and is very much alive – and, in fact, doing what he always does: driving his enemies into a froth without lifting a finger.

Their “Trump is dead” frenzy hit a fever pitch after the president’s public schedule sat empty for a couple of days. That’s all it took for X sleuths and bored holiday weekend pundits to start declaring the man six feet under. Forget that Trump has survived impeachments, indictments, and even two assassination attempts – apparently a blank calendar was the smoking gun.

The conspiracy took off after photos showed Trump with what looked like a bruise on his hand. Cue the dramatic speculation: Was it a sign of illness? A cover-up? Or, more likely, was it just the result of gripping a nine-iron a little too hard? President Biden can barely shuffle to an ice cream stand without tripping, but the media’s X-ray vision was trained on Trump’s knuckles.

Left-wing accounts were gleefully writing Trump’s political obituary – but Trump was golfing – alive, well, and probably enjoying the spectacle. Reporters even saw him.

When he finally addressed the left’s insanity, Trump dismissed the rumors with the bemused irritation of a man who’s had to swat away more conspiracy theories than a tinfoil-hat convention saying, “I have heard, it’s sort of crazy… It’s so fake … I was very active this Labor Day.” He added, “I didn’t do any (public events) for two days, and they said there must be something wrong with him. Biden would not do them for months, you wouldn’t see him, and nobody ever said there was ever anything wrong with him, and we know he wasn’t in the greatest of shape.”

Trump didn’t even need to make a statement as he was standing there – very much alive – in front of reporters.

The rumors weren’t just stupid – they were gross. This is a man who’s already survived two separate assassination attempts in the past year. The idea that online activists would casually spread death wishes or treat his absence from a public schedule as cause for celebration, says more about their lack of decency than it ever could about Trump’s health. But is anyone surprised? Nope.
