In Minnesota and elsewhere, Democrats have been tirelessly perfecting the fine art of trying to “fix” problems they have created by taking away our constitutional rights.

Following the devastating mass shooting and killing of two children at a Catholic church at a school in Minneapolis by a trans who hated Trump, Christians, Mexicans, Jews, Black people, children and just about everyone else, right on cue, Democrats are deflecting blame from the shooter and going straight for the guns. It’s especially true in this case because the shooter is one of their prized “protected classes” (trans), so there’s no way they’ll point the finger where it belongs.

To that end, Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (Kamala’s failed VP pick) is reportedly weighing a special session to shove through new gun control measures while emotions are at their peak.

But here’s the inconvenient truth: Minnesota already boasts universal background checks, waiting periods, red flag laws, and a laundry list of other “commonsense” measures. None of them stopped this tragedy. So, predictably, Democrats’ solution is…more laws of course. Nothing says “leadership” like doubling down on policies that have already failed.

But never fear – Democrats will always seize on a tragedy to push new gun restrictions and laws that criminals and unstable individuals will ignore, while law-abiding citizens get buried under more paperwork and fewer rights. If Democrats excel at anything, it’s using crises they helped create as leverage to strip away freedoms they dislike, all while pretending it’s “for our safety.” These are the same leaders who coddle criminals, turn a blind eye to untreated mental illness, and actively stoke division among Americans – then act shocked when chaos erupts.
