It appears that ICE, under President Donald J. Trump, is putting the “enforcement” back in Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In the first half of the Trump administration, it arrested 356 gang members in Houston, TX.
These weren’t your garden-variety troublemakers either. Collectively, they illegally crossed into the U.S. 1,434 times and racked up a stunning 1,685 criminal convictions, including murder, arson, theft, child pornography, sexual assault of minors, drug trafficking, and human trafficking. Yep – a straight-up criminal buffet.
ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations-Houston acting Field Office Director Gabriel Martinez said about the achievement, “Despite attempts by some (Democrats) to undermine the courageous work being done by our officers, the brave men and women of ICE continue to put their lives on the line every day to arrest violent transnational gang members, foreign fugitives and dangerous criminal aliens.”
Martinez continued to say, “In just the past couple of years in Houston, transnational gang members were responsible for brutally raping and murdering an innocent 12-year- old girl on her way to the store. Our officers know their efforts can help prevent atrocities like that from ever occurring again and they won’t rest until they’re all gone.”
And if that’s not enough to make headlines, ICE just dismantled a drug and financial scheme in Los Angeles involving criminal illegal aliens operating an underground night club. The ICE/CBP/FBI/DEA operation resulted in the “arrest of multiple illegal aliens and seizure of narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and a box containing thousands of re- encoded gift cards suspected to be part of an illegal financial scheme.
But wait – no matter how many criminals ICE finds, Democrats continue to be furious about the ICE raids and the deportations. Any enforcement of immigration law automatically triggers mass outrage.
While the left is busy whining about “sanctuary policies” and “overreach,” ICE agents are celebrating taking dangerous criminals off America’s streets. Somebody’s got to keep our streets – and our kids – safe. And it’s certainly not the Democrats.
