Democrats accuse President Donald Trump of being too aggressive on immigration, complaining about him not focusing enough on the criminal illegal aliens and deporting “moms” and “dads” and folks who have been here 20 years and have contributed to society.
But when it comes to illegal aliens convicted of serious crimes, Democrats rarely seem willing to draw a line and support their deportation either.
They protest for them. They get arrested for them. To critics, it sends the message that protecting illegal aliens – even those with serious criminal records – takes precedence over protecting Americans. Even if those illegal aliens are pedophiles, rapists or killers.
The latest example comes from Minnesota, where Laotian national Tou Lue Vang – convicted of first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a 10-year-old girl – received a unanimous pardon from the Minnesota Board of Pardons led by Gov. Tim Walz and AG Keith Ellison., The pardon erased his criminal conviction despite opposition from prosecutors.
That wasn’t the end of the story though, thanks to the Trump administration.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio along with federal immigration authorities revoked Vang’s legal status, and federal immigration authorities deported him to Laos, with the Department of Homeland Security announcing the removal last week.
The case pretty much sums up the immigration debate in a nutshell. Democrats care more about illegal aliens (even the criminals) than they do about their own American citizens. Mostly it’s all about Trump Derangement Syndrome. But it’s also about using those illegal aliens for future Democratic votes. And that means EVERYTHING to them.
