Democrats are celebrating more courtroom victories over election integrity, which means everyone can relax: the election system will remain exactly as state leaders like it – ripe for cheating for those who have perfected the process
Michigan Democratic Attorney General Dana Nessel announced Wednesday that her office won two major court battles against the Trump administration’s election initiatives.
One recent ruling blocked the U.S. Department of Justice from obtaining Michigan’s unredacted electronic voter file (Biden and Clinton judges), while another (from an Obama judge) permanently stopped key portions of President Trump’s 2025 executive order aimed at tightening election procedures.
Among the provisions blocked were requirements for documentary proof of citizenship when registering to vote, restrictions on counting certain mail ballots received after Election Day, and financial penalties for states refusing to adopt the administration’s election policies.
Nessel called the DOJ’s request for voter records “unlawful” and accused the White House of trying to intimidate and scare voters i.e. Trump wants to stop their corrupt ballot harvesting schemes and that is really really mean.
Michigan Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer praised the rulings as victories for voter privacy and secure elections, while Democratic Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson declared that “states run elections” and vowed to continue fighting federal involvement. Is she the perfect next governor for the state or what?! After all, we need to make sure EVERY ballot is counted – whether it’s a ballot from an illegal alien, dead person or a “fake” person who doesn’t exist at the address it came from.
Critics of the rulings argue they make it harder to verify voter eligibility and strengthen election safeguards. But that’s exactly how the Democrats like it.
