“The truth is out there” just became official government policy – and it’s YOUR job to figure it out. Last week, the Pentagon released more than 160 declassified records involving unidentified flying objects – now mostly called “UAPs” (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena) at the direction of President Donald J. Trump.
The records (which appear on a cool-looking black and white website) include military sightings, pilot reports, Apollo mission material, intelligence memos, photos, and videos dating back decades.
Trump had posted on social media in February: “BASED ON THE TREMENDOUS INTEREST SHOWN, I WILL BE DIRECTING THE SECRETARY OF WAR, AND OTHER RELEVANT DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES, TO BEGIN THE PROCESS OF IDENTIFYING AND RELEASING GOVERNMENT FILES RELATED TO ALIEN AND EXTRATERRESTRIAL LIFE, UNIDENTIFIED AERIAL PHENOMENA (UAP), AND UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS (UFOS), AND ANY AND ALL OTHER INFORMATION CONNECTED TO THESE HIGHLY COMPLEX, BUT EXTREMELY INTERESTING AND IMPORTANT, MATTERS. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
Then on Friday, May 8, 2026, after the first batch of UFO/UAP files was released to the public, Trump posted: “As for my promise to you, the Department of War has released the first tranche of the UFO/ UAP files to the Public for their review and study. In an effort for Complete and Maximum Transparency, it was my Honor to direct my Administration to identify and provide Government files related to Alien and Extraterrestrial Life, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, and Unidentified Flying Objects. Whereas previous Administrations have failed to be transparent on this subject, with these new Documents and Videos, the people can decide for themselves, “WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?” Have Fun and Enjoy! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
Among the newly highlighted files is a 1948 Air Force intelligence memo discussing recurring “flying saucer” sightings over Europe in such a variety of places that “we are convinced that they cannot be disregarded and must be explained.”
The report goes on to document Swedish Air Intelligence Service saying, “these phenomena are obviously the result of a high technical skill which cannot be credited to any presently known culture on earth” pointing to them originating from ‘outside the earth.’”
The memo also described bomber crews spotting a mysterious aircraft moving faster than normal jets and referenced a reported object crashing into a Swedish lake where divers allegedly found a strange crater on the lake floor with the Swedes saying it was caused by a flying saucer.
Whether any of the reported extraterrestrial sightings are real, government apparitions, or just somebody spotting swamp gas after one too many late-night cups of coffee is apparently up to YOU – with the president essentially telling Americans: “Here are the files. Grab a beer and some popcorn and decide for yourselves.”
