Establishment Republicans are on edge after Ken Paxton steamrolled John Cornyn in Texas and Ed Gallrein also won his primary over Thomas Massie in Kentucky. Both had been endorsed by President Trump.

An anonymous RINO in the GOP told Punchbowl News last week, “Our majority is melting down before our eyes.”

Others are warning that President Trump is turning the GOP into his “own” senate. Uh, yeah… that’s the point. We need Republicans willing to do what’s needed to Make America Great Again. The RINOs don’t seem to understand that they’re there to rubber stamp Trump’s priorities – the man who America voted OVERWHELMINGLY to be our president in 2024.

For years, Republican insiders have tried giving GOP voters polished “electable” candidates who end up ruling and voting like Democrats. The result? Base voters stay home, enthusiasm disappears, and Republicans lose races they should win.

We don’t want watered-down Chamber of Commerce Republicans who apologize every five minutes on CNN about what the president is up to. The recent victorious primary candidates ran as MAGA candidates and energized voters who are tired of being told to settle for Republican-lite.

Now nervous Republicans are warning that Democrats could rally around candidates like James Talarico (the Dem running against Paxton), who is suddenly pretending to be a moderate despite years of progressive politics. LOL. That’s not gonna happen.

Nevertheless, the media narrative is already forming: Paxton is “too extreme,” Democrats are “energized,” and Republicans should panic. NO, we should only panic if we get crap candidates which we have gotten for years and years.

But here’s the bigger lesson heading into the midterms: MAGA turnout is the ballgame. If Republicans nominate candidates who vote like Democrats, cave to the media, and spend more time attacking Trump supporters than the Left, voters won’t bother showing up. Republican voters aren’t going to reward GOP candidates who sit on their butts and fold like cheap lawn chairs every time the media or Democrats turn up the heat.
