The same crowd that once branded folks like Alex Jones and Tucker Carlson as radioactive is now giving them a thumbs up because they’re taking shots at President Donald Trump. Yes, yesterday’s untouchables are getting a fresh coat of political approval from the left – no apology tour required.

So what changed? After years of riding the Trump train, several high-profile voices have peeled off, mostly due to their antisemitic and anti-Israel views. And the left is now singing their praises.

You know who I am talking about.

There are others. Not to mention all of the fake people all over X claiming they were MAGA supporters and now they’re not. People we’ve never heard of before.

Carlson has openly distanced himself from Trump and even apologized for backing him, while figures like Candace Owens have gone from MAGA darling to MAGA psycho, including a daily rage crusade against Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk.

Meanwhile, Trump himself hasn’t exactly sent them thank-you notes – recently torching some of these former allies as “losers” chasing attention.

But here’s the twist: the louder the criticism of Trump, the warmer the reception from the left. Suddenly, yesterday’s “wackos” are now today’s “patriots.”

But this is less about redemption and more about alignment. Oppose Trump loudly enough, and your resumé gets a rewrite. We’ll see how long this lasts and when the “useful idiots” turn out to be no longer useful to the Democrats.
