While leftist activists and sympathetic politicians try every trick in the book to gum up immigration enforcement in Minnesota, Donald J. Trump is doing what he said he would do: arresting and removing dangerous criminal illegal aliens.

According to a White House press release this week, more than 4,000 criminal illegal aliens have been arrested in Minnesota since the launch of Operation Metro Surge. That includes, as the administration bluntly notes, “murderers, rapists, gang members, and terrorists” – you know, the “innocent” folks that the Leftists are protesting for and protecting in Minneapolis and the rest of the state.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt summed it up without apology: “President Trump’s commonsense immigration enforcement policies are delivering the public safety results the American people demanded.” She added that cooperation from state and local officials is finally producing “tremendous outcomes that help keep Americans safe.”

On the ground in Minneapolis, Border Czar Tom Homan made it clear that enforcement isn’t slowing down just because activists don’t like it. “If you’re in the country illegally, you are NOT off the table,” Homan said recently. “If we find you, we’ll deport you.” This is despite the announced drawdown of immigration officials in the state which is dependent upon the cooperation of local and state officials.

In other words: even though the anti-ICE noise is loud and the resistance is theatrical, the mission keeps moving. While the Left stages protests and tries to intimidate ICE, Trump’s administration keeps doing the unglamorous work of law enforcement – handcuffs, body cams, and all – as they work to fix the Left’s devastating open border policies.

Turns out “law and order” wasn’t just a slogan when Trump was campaigning for his second term. Despite protests, violence, pressure campaigns, and whining from Democrats, the arrests continue.
