After roughly three months of federal agents everywhere from strip malls to front yards, the grand immigration crackdown in Minnesota has officially ended. Yes, the very same one that sparked protests in sub-zero weather, saw over 4,000 arrests, and included the controversial deaths of two U.S. citizens.
According to an Associated Press report, Border Czar Tom Homan proudly announced today that Operation Metro Surge – the administration’s “biggest ever” enforcement push – will be wrapped up, with many officers already heading home and the rest following suit. He insists Minnesota is now “less of a sanctuary state for criminals” and that the surge has left Minnesota safer. Meanwhile, the mission continues elsewhere.
Besides keeping the Democrats busy with mass protests in the state and nationwide, the results in Minnesota impressively ended with over 4,000 arrests including many who were dangerous criminals and won’t be around to assault Americans any more. Good riddance to the gang members, pedophiles and other illegal alien criminals.
In the end, the surge delivered big headlines, loud protests, and thousands of arrests – and now it delivers something else: an exit. The administration is declaring the mission accomplished and moving resources elsewhere. The Leftists will have to move on to another outrage to protest about – most likely the SAVE Act, the Epstein files or looking into improperly licensed lemonade stands.
