After 208 years of predicting whether you should plant your peas under a full moon or which fishing day is “best,” the venerable Farmers’ Almanac is calling it quits with its 2026 edition.

What’s the reason? Surprise surprise…money. The publishers said in a press release that “growing financial challenges of producing and distributing the almanac in today’s chaotic media environment” did them in.

The final edition, Farmers’ Almanac 2026, is now on shelves (where you can find it), and its online content will stay available through December 2025.

The Almanac has officially joined the parade of once-cherished things that time quietly shuffled off to the curb: Cracker Jack prizes, NASA’s Space Shuttle Program, college football games that actually matter, REAL Hallmark movies with good acting and a plot – and MicroMagic french fries. YUM!!
