President Donald Trump is acing foreign-policy bingo – hostages retrieved, deals struck, approval through the roof. According to one analysis, reported by Breitbart News, his job approval on foreign policy is the best of the 21st century.

The globe-trotting commander-in-chief is earning plaudits for projecting strength abroad, but voters are wishing he’d pay more attention here at home. They want him to work on lowering costs for Americans – if that is even possible after Biden jacked them up during his presidency.

Just the News is reporting on a Big Data poll that shows 51.7% of Americans consider Trump “too focused” on foreign affairs. Unfortunately for Trump, the average American voter doesn’t understand how important foreign relations and deals are to America’s prosperity. And he hasn’t done a real good job of explaining it.

While alliances are secured and sanctions and tariffs are chugging along, back home folks are eyeballing their gas prices, their groceries, and whether they can afford that childhood dream of owning a home. Foreign policy is important – but nothing compares to the psychological effect of driving down the road and seeing the price of gas every day.

If Republicans don’t see some wins on Domestic Turf – jobs, inflation, gas prices, housing – then the midterms could go sideways for them. The foreign-policy highlight reel looks great on TV, but voters live in their kitchens and cars, not on Air Force-One.
