In what should be front-page world-changing news, President Donald J. Trump just did what decades of career diplomats, global elites, and “peace experts” couldn’t pull off with all their Ivy League degrees and tax-funded retreats in Geneva: he got Israel and Hamas to sign off on Phase One of a Gaza peace plan.

According to reports including from Newsmax, the New York Post, and the Daily Mail, the peace agreement – hammered out under Trump’s leadership – marks a massive step toward stabilizing one of the world’s longest-running conflicts. The deal includes prisoner exchanges, humanitarian aid corridors, and a cease-fire.

In short: fewer rockets, fewer funerals, and a chance at actual coexistence. That should be cause for celebration, right?

But don’t cue the Nobel Prize committee just yet – because you know how this story goes. If it’s Trump, it can’t possibly be historic peace; it must be problematic peace and most likely temporary. And it probably won’t work. The peace deal certainly hasn’t been covered in depth as a reason to celebrate by the mainstream media – or praised much by the elected Democrats on X.

Only pro-Israel Democratic Senator John Fetterman from Pennsylvania congratulated Trump for the “historic peace plan” without any caveats.

CNN complained, “Whether his (Trump) approach generates a durable peace remains to be seen.”

MSNBC didn’t even have the story as the main headline on their website on Thursday and one of their commentators whined that they don’t know who Trump is negotiating with and that the “scant” deals are important. Past RINO-turned-Trump-hating Democrat co-conspirator, Michael Steele, reiterated the same information with his comments saying, “Let’s slow the roll here.”

Democrats have spent the last few years proving just how pro-Palestinian – and, frankly, anti-Israel – many of them really are. So you’d think they’d be out popping champagne now that peace might finally be within reach for their so-called “victims” in Gaza. But oddly enough, there’s not much celebrating going on. Thanks to a terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), even the peace that the Left claims to want suddenly doesn’t sound so sweet when it’s Trump making it happen.

Israel-hating Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who’s spent nearly every day on X lamenting “genocide” and Gaza’s suffering, has been uncharacteristically silent so far about the peace deal so far. Hmmmm….

New York Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer released a statement where he appeared thankful about the agreement – but threw in phrases like “if implemented” and “Now we await details and final acceptance and implementation from all parties of the first phase” and “the work is not over…” As expected, no “Thanks President Trump” will be forthcoming from about 99.9% of the Democratic Party.

Nope, the Dems are not willing to celebrate anything that Trump does – not even peace in the Middle East.
