Stop the presses – Democrats are officially BFFs with socialism. Meanwhile, the sun still rises in the east, water’s still wet, and pizza still tastes amazing. None of that shocks anyone. What is shocking? Just how many Democrats are downright giddy – agog, even – about cozying up to socialism.

According to a Gallup survey taken August 1–20, and reported by the Daily BS, only 42% of Democrats still have anything nice to say about capitalism, while a cushy 66% give socialism two thumbs up. Hardly shocking from the party that treats “income inequality” like it’s the Pledge of Allegiance and swoons over every shiny promise of “free” stuff.

That’s why, like it or not, Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani is on track to be New York City’s next mayor – unless Republican Curtis Sliwa sharpens his pitch and the city’s Republicans actually bother to show up at the polls. Otherwise, buckle up, NYC: the chaos you’ve seen so far is gonna look like child’s play compared to what’s coming.
