Apparently in New York, committing murder just isn’t the conversation ender it used to be. Thanks to the state’s infamous bail reform laws (brought to you by progressive lawmakers with a soft spot for criminals) when convicted killers get arrested again for new crimes, they are let loose back onto the streets like it’s just a parking ticket situation.

According to a report out of the New York Post, the latest insanity involves two men already convicted of murder who allegedly caught dealing drugs out of Albany.

One of the suspects shot someone in the chest in 2003 during a botched robbery, killing him instantly – and was released in 2022. The other murdered a mother-of-two in 1999, after shooting her in the head during a botched robbery, only serving 21 years behind bars.

Fast forward to 2025: they were busted again on new charges – but are free on the streets. That’s right. Thanks to Democrat-backed policies in NY, judges can’t consider criminal history or the risk a defendant poses to the public when deciding on bail. So these guys walked free, Monopoly-style, with their “Get Out of Jail Free” card.

No, it’s not a bug in the system. It IS the system. The Democratic system of injustice. New York’s 2019 bail reform law was supposed to fix mass incarceration. What it’s doing instead is unleashing mass recidivism.

It’s no wonder crime victims feel like afterthoughts in this upside-down justice carnival. When your criminal justice system cares more about the criminal than the justice and the victim, the rest of us are just potential victims waiting our turn.
