While Michigan faces real crime problems – elder abuse, sex crimes, drug trafficking, human smuggling, consumer fraud, and more – Michigan Democratic Attorney General Dana Nessel has her sights set on Los Angeles.

This week, Nessel proudly joined a progressive pile-on of blue state attorneys general, filing an amicus brief in a California lawsuit trying to kneecap ICE and CBP for daring to enforce federal immigration law.

Apparently, Michigan’s top law enforcement official has nothing better to do than meddle in lawsuits 2,000 miles away – all to block the Trump Administration from doing what voters sent him back to the White House to do: enforce immigration laws.

According to Nessel, ICE agents are “masked,” “heavily armed,” and carrying out “militaristic raids.” What she leaves out? That these precautions are necessary because illegal aliens and their activist allies are fighting back, threatening to dox agents and their families – and in some cases, trying to kill them.

And because of these “militaristic raids,” ICE is scaring people. The horror! Lawbreakers being afraid of law enforcement? What a scandal.

Nessel warns that if these tactics are allowed in LA, they might gasp happen in Michigan too. One can only hope.

Enforcing the law and stopping suspected criminals? Apparently, that’s just too much for Nessel to handle – even though it’s literally in her job description. But when you’re auditioning for your next gig and battling a chronic case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), priorities shift. So every day, her office is focused more on churning out anti-Trump press releases than protecting Michiganders.

Nessel’s statement drips with concern over a so-called “culture of fear” – but not for the victims of crime, drug trafficking, or human trafficking tied to the very illegal aliens ICE is arresting. Instead, her sympathy is reserved for the feelings of those here illegally – and their activist cheer squad who surround them.

Instead of focusing on enforcing the law in her own state, Nessel is busy protecting illegal aliens from the consequences of BREAKING the law in Los Angeles – and joining lawsuits against her favorite nemesis, President Trump, even when it has absolutely nothing to do with Michigan.

Yes, Michigan’s attorney general is using state resources to fight federal immigration enforcement in California. But hey — if there’s a woke crusade and an opportunity to throw shade at Trump, you can count on Nessel to be all in.
