U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio just did something rare in D.C. – he shut down a gravy train. Specifically, he shut down USAID (U.S. Agency for International Development), known for quietly laundering billions into “woke” initiatives under the banner of humanitarian aid.

Rubio wrote in a blog post on Tuesday, July 1 about the now-defunct agency: “Development objectives have rarely been met, instability has often worsened, and anti-American sentiment has only grown. This era of government-sanctioned inefficiency has officially come to an end.”

The poor Democrats will no longer be able write blank checks for drag shows in Uganda or gender training in Guatemala while veterans sleep on sidewalks back home.

For years, USAID has operated like a progressive genie lamp – rub it, and out pops funding for every left-wing pet cause dressed up in buzzwords like “equity” and “sustainability.”

But then Elon Musk and DOGE came along, exposing what the left was up to.

Foreign aid assistance is now where it should have been all along – directly under the control of the State Department.

Naturally, leftists are losing their minds over the whole thing and predicting death and destruction everywhere.
