Americans will obviously put up with a lot to get cheap prices. The evidence shows Walmart shelves groaning under the weight of Chinese imports (60 to 80% of Walmart goods). And let’s not forget the scandal of the Chinese-imported pet food and snacks that killed thousands of American pets and impacted thousands more.

You won’t see too many “Made in USA” aisles of products when you walk into ChiMart this summer – probably not even one single display of them. The retail giant prefers to peddle cheap, foreign-made trinkets on the American people. $2 flip-flops and “Made in China” 4th of July decorations adorn the store. Yes, really.

But now we are learning that Walmart is also relying on foreign workers. We have found this out due to a recent report that they are firing “migrant” workers in Florida and Texas after a Supreme Court ruling yanked the work permits of foreigners in the U.S.

That means that Walmart has been cozying up to a foreign pool of cheap labor instead of concentrating on hiring Americans who need jobs. The company is definitely not into MAGA or the “America First” agenda. Walmart is not just importing goods; they’re importing a workforce, squeezing out locals and depressing wages.

But Walmart is not alone. 33.719 million “undocumented” workers are propping up industries like construction and agriculture.

America’s greatest hope to turn this around is the Trump administration’s deportation agenda. Just the News reports that more than 1 million foreign-born workers left labor market since March. That’s good news for Americans. Also in March, Trump said about the data, “For the first time in 15 months, the job gains for native-born Americans… exceeded job gains for migrant and foreign-born workers. You’ve heard the same stat where foreign workers were taking up all the jobs.”

In the end, Walmart’s empire of low prices comes at a steep cost to the American spirit. By flooding shelves with Chinese imports and leaning on foreign labor, the retail giant prioritizes profit over patriotism, sidelining native-born workers and undermining local economies. As the Trump administration’s deportation efforts begin to shift the labor market back toward American workers, the tide may be turning. As for the rest of us…It’s time for Americans to demand more from the companies that claim to serve them, and we need to start choosing loyalty to the country over the allure of a $2 flip-flop.
