Attention TikTok addicts and data-privacy hawks…it looks like the conclusion to the national TikTok saga is delayed again.

Yes, President Trump has promised once again to press the snooze button today on the looming TikTok apocalypse, granting ByteDance another 90-day extension to sell or shut up shop in the U.S. The bottom line? TikTok lives on – until mid-September at least.

This is the third time Trump’s waved his magic pen to extend the deadline. First in January, then in April, and now we are expecting another executive order to hit today before the deadline according to Just the News.

The good news: American teenagers still get to lip-sync – and Michigan Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer and the rest of the politicians can continue to dance, swear and do stupid things on the Chinese app.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt assures us that during the next 90 days, “The Administration will spend working to ensure this deal is closed so that the American people can continue to use TikTok with the assurance that their data is safe and secure.” That sounds well and good, but theTrump Administration has had a while to close the deal and nothing has happened.

Meanwhile, a host of would-be buyers are left waiting, browsing TikTok for sale signs. And the legal liability for hosting an allegedly Chinese-controlled app for companies like Google and Apple? Don’t sweat it – they’ve been given a presidential get-out-of-jail card… for now.
