If what has been happening in Los Angeles is what the left calls “peaceful protests,” I’d hate to see what they consider violent.
Los Angeles under Democratic rule officially went full dystopia the last few days with the Democrats pretending that it hasn’t been violent. But we’ve seen the videos. And boots-on-the-ground veteran journalist Elex Michaelson confirmed what most of us with functioning eyesight already suspected: the city was NOT under control. Not even close. They DEFINITELY needed Trump’s intervention.
During an interview on Monday’s The Morning Wire Podcast, Michaelson – who anchors at Fox 11 in Los Angeles – described just how sideways things went over the weekend as organized mobs flooded the streets to obstruct ICE raids. And no, he wasn’t describing the rioters as waving picket signs and catchy slogans – they were armed with bricks, spray paint, and rage.
Michaelson didn’t mince words: “There were moments where things went really south.” He went on to describe how his own colleagues, Matthew Seedorff and his photographer Sam Dubin, had their news van destroyed while reporting in Paramount.
Protesters – or more accurately, rioters – smashed out windows, slashed the tires, spray-painted “F*CK ICE” and looted the news van. So much for freedom of the press.
But wait – Governor Gavin Newsom thinks the National Guard was unnecessary. Of course he does. Because in Newsom’s California, journalists getting mobbed and police getting injured is just another Saturday in paradise.
Michaelson also made it clear that these weren’t spontaneous outbursts. There is definitely what he described as an “organized opposition” that he doesn’t expect to subside anytime soon. According to Bill Essayli, a Trump-appointed interim U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California (Los Angeles and surrounding counties), these mobs are organized online and dispatched like foot soldiers to ambush ICE operations. Their goal? Interfere, obstruct, and shut it all down.
Even more disturbing: California law enforcement isn’t getting intel ahead of time, because the state, because of the Democrats in charge, refuses to cooperate with ICE. So, local officers walk into chaos with zero heads-up. What could possibly go wrong?
This isn’t civil disobedience. This is a coordinated effort to disrupt law enforcement – and it’s creating danger not just for police and ICE, but for everyone in the blast zone, including journalists just trying to do their jobs.
