Conservative commentator Mark Levin took to Fox News recently to label Democratic Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib as “Islamists,” daring them to sue him for the accusation.

Levin, who is Jewish, is never one to shy away from hyperbole. He declared on a call-in to “Fox & Friends” that Omar is an “Islamist.” He added, “Tlaib is an Islamist. Bernie Sanders is a Marxist. I dare them to sue me. I dare them to sue me! I will counterclaim. I will get all the information I need. I will expose these people in civil court because they cannot be exposed criminally.”

Levin said, “The West is under attack. This is a war against the West. People need to understand the mentality that we’re up against, whether it’s the Marxists or the Islamists. They have a joint venture to take you out and now the United States from within.”

Levin’s outburst followed Omar’s refusal to comment on a recent shooting at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., where two staff members were killed by a murdering antisemite who said he did it for Palestine and Gaza. Fox News co-host Ainsley Earhardt said about Omar and the tragedy, “She couldn’t even say condolences for the family.”

Levin answered, “That’s because she’s an Islamist; let’s stop playing games. She’s an Islamist who got elected to Congress as part of what Donald Trump calls ‘the enemy within.’”

Levin also accused the Democratic Party of harboring anti-Semitic sentiments. He lamented the lack of action from Democratic leaders, saying, “It would be nice if we had some help from Hakeem Jeffries, it would be nice if Chuck Schumer would stop writing books and actually do something about it. But the Democrats aren’t the ones that held hearings about what’s going on in our colleges.”

In a particularly dramatic moment, Levin proclaimed, “Israel’s not going anywhere. The Persians couldn’t do it, the Romans couldn’t do it. The Babylonians couldn’t do it, Hitler couldn’t do it. And they’re not going to do it either.”

Levin finished with, “And I have another message for them. Donald Trump is president of the United States. The United States is not going anywhere either. And he has an all- hands-on-deck government effort to fight this anti-Semitism. And I couldn’t be prouder of what he’s trying to do.”
