Who is the face of the Democratic Party? The voters can’t really decide. According to the latest Coefficient poll, 26% of voters say Squad member and progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) is the face of the party. Another 26% say, “No one” which means AOC is tied with an empty chair. Coming in next is “other” (22%) because the Dems really don’t like any of their current choices.

Following behind that mess is: Bernie Sanders (12%), Jasmine Crockett (8%), Kamala Harris (6%), Pete Buttigieg (5%), Hakeem Jeffries (5%), Cory Booker (4%), and Gavin Newsom (2%). No, our very own Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer doesn’t show up in the poll at all.

So the bottom line is that the more “moderate” candidates like Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom, and Pete Buttigieg flailed in the single digits while the crazy progressive Democratic wing strutted ahead.

Even the geriatric socialist Bernie Sanders clocked in at the top proving that he still has some spark plugs left – even with the youth. But it’s AOC – social media’s favorite bartender-turned-lawmaker – who’s in the spotlight now.

Kamala Harris, supposedly the heir apparent, didn’t even make 10%.

The takeaway? There is no unifying figure in the Democratic Party. The base is fractured, the “moderates” are floundering, and the far-left has seized the wheel with their foul mouths and crazy ideas.

So as the party drifts toward the 2026 and 2028 elections, it looks like the face of the Democrats may not be a president-in-waiting, but a TikTok-savvy ideologue who’s more at home on Instagram Live than Capitol Hill committees. Whether it’s AOC or an as-yet- unknown contender, the jury’s still out.
