It appears the Democrats’ favorite money machine, ActBlue, is under serious scrutiny. President Trump has directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate the platform for allegedly facilitating foreign and fraudulent donations during the 2024 election cycle.
According to the New York Post, the memo from the president authorizes Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate whether ActBlue allowed “dummy” accounts or foreign nationals to donate to Democratic causes – as well as any other suspicious online contributions.
According to a 478-page congressional report, ActBlue approved hundreds of donations from foreign IP addresses using prepaid cards, all while maintaining lax fraud prevention measures. The platform reportedly didn’t require (and most likely didn’t care about) card verification values (CVVs) and even encouraged staff to find reasons to accept contributions, rather than reject suspicious ones.

In response to Trump’s move, ActBlue has condemned the investigation as a politically motivated attack, vowing to pursue all legal avenues to defend itself. Democratic leaders have echoed this sentiment, accusing the Trump administration of undermining grassroots political participation.
The platform’s future – and the integrity of the Democrats’ fundraising practices – are under the microscope. Integrity?! LOL. That’s a good one.
