The dust is still settling after President Trump’s recent address to Congress, but one viral moment encapsulates the political divide better than any speech ever could.
Representative Lance Gooden had seen enough when Democrat Representative Melanie Stansbury brandished a sign that read “This is not normal” as Trump entered the congressional chamber.
Ironic, considering the Democrats have spent the last several years demonstrating just how far removed from normal they really are. After losing control of both the White House and Congress, they continue to ignore major issues—ranging from the border crisis to inflation—while pushing radical social ideologies and embracing policies that put American interests last.
The American people have spoken, and CBS’ instant poll tells the story: 76% of those who watched Trump’s speech approved of his message. That’s a staggering number—made even more surprising by the fact that CBS actually published it. Americans overwhelmingly support Trump’s policies, but Democrats simply can’t handle the reality of it.
During the address, Democrats refused to stand and acknowledge several key guests invited by President Trump. Take, for instance, 13-year-old DJ Daniels, who is battling cancer and was awarded honorary Secret Service status by Trump. Instead of applauding a young hero, MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace twisted the moment into something grotesque—suggesting that DJ’s story somehow connects to January 6.
Absolutely disgusting. That has to be one of the most reprehensible, dishonest takes on Trump’s speech. Making a boy’s battle against cancer about January 6? It’s despicable. Why is she still employed?
Democrats also refused to stand for the mother of Marc Fogel, who just got her son back after six years in a Russian prison. They sat in cold indifference as families who lost loved ones to illegal immigrant crime were acknowledged. Meanwhile, even Senator John Fetterman—a Democrat—took to Twitter to call out his own party’s behavior:
A sad cavalcade of self-owns and unhinged petulance. It only makes Trump look more presidential and restrained. We’re becoming the metaphorical car alarms that nobody pays attention to—and it may not be the winning message.
Let me assure you—it is not a winning message. And the fallout only gets worse as social media magnifies every blunder.
The only time Democrats showed any enthusiasm? When they flew the Ukrainian flag. That’s right—of all the things they could have cheered for, they chose to champion another country’s war. And let’s be clear: it’s not because they want peace in Ukraine. No, they want more war, more bodies, more chaos. It’s the only way they know how to operate, and their opposition to Trump’s peace efforts proves it.
While Democrats root for endless conflict, Ukrainian President Zelensky has changed his tune. After a failed attempt to strong-arm the U.S. into continued funding, Zelensky realized that Europe has no real power to end the war. All of their lofty promises mean nothing. When Trump pulled the plug on U.S. aid to Ukraine, Zelensky was suddenly ready to negotiate. That, my friends, is The Art of the Deal.
But just as quickly as he showed interest in Trump’s path to peace, Zelensky backtracked, now demanding an Article 5 declaration—essentially pulling NATO into direct war with Russia. If that happens, it won’t be America paying the price—it will be Europe and the EU facing catastrophe.
While Trump navigates high-stakes international negotiations, Democrats are busy screaming about so-called ‘Trump’s Trade War’—this time, against Canada. But let’s examine the facts:
National Economic Council director Kevin Hassett laid it out plain and simple:
$370 billion we’re paying in tariffs, compared to the $57 billion we’re receiving? That’s absurd. And what about Canada’s tariffs on American goods?
120% on milk.
80% on fresh chicken.
122% on cheese.
And yet, Democrats expect outrage over Trump’s proposed 25% tariff on Canada? The hypocrisy is staggering.
Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is playing politics, pretending to sympathize with Americans while attacking the president they elected. His response to Trump’s tariffs? He’s calling for a boycott of Florida vacations, American bourbon, and even booing our national anthem.
Ron DeSantis had the perfect response:
Trudeau’s tantrum is proof that he is just as out of touch with Canadians as Democrats are with Americans. Canadians are fed up with his leadership, and Trudeau is on his way out the door. Instead of taking responsibility for his country’s unfair trade policies, or its role in the fentanyl crisis, Trudeau’s government is doubling down with counter-tariffs that will ultimately hurt their own economy.
The Homebuilders’ Association is already warning about the damage these counter-tariffs will do:
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has confirmed that negotiations with Mexico and Canada are ongoing, meaning we could see updates to trade policies soon. Meanwhile, Trump posted on Truth Social that he had a ‘somewhat friendly’ phone call with Trudeau—who, conveniently, couldn’t tell him when the next Canadian election is happening.
Why? Because Trudeau is trying to ride this controversy in a desperate bid to stay in power. And that’s the ultimate irony—the left constantly accuses Trump of wanting to be a dictator, yet here’s Trudeau, clinging to office by manufacturing a crisis.
As this all plays out, one thing is crystal clear: Democrats have no backbone, no heart, no message, and no leader. They refuse to stand for American heroes. They celebrate foreign conflicts over domestic priorities. And their response to losing power? Throwing a tantrum while America moves forward without them.
